Safety comes first. If water is near outlets or the furnace, stay out and shut off power at the panel only if you can reach it from a dry spot. Stop running water upstairs. If the sump pump has stopped, check whether it has power. Move what you can to higher ground and take photos for insurance. Then call us. We'll find out whether the water is coming from the sewer, the ground or a pipe, because each one has a different fix.
