Hydro Jetting in Arlington Heights, IL

If your sewer line has been rodded and it keeps clogging, the buildup on the pipe wall is the problem. Hydro jetting scours it out with high-pressure water. We camera the line first and give you a flat price before we start, from our office on East Central Road.

The Basics

What Is Hydro Jetting?

Hydro jetting clears a sewer line with a high-pressure water stream, fed through the same cleanout access point used for rodding. A specialized nozzle sprays water in every direction as it moves through the pipe, scouring grease, scale, and roots off the entire pipe wall instead of just cutting a path through the middle. It's the fix for buildup that keeps coming back after rodding, or for roots that have worked into the pipe joints. Rodding opens the line back up. Hydro jetting cleans it.

When It Makes Sense

When Arlington Heights Homes Need Hydro Jetting

Jetting is the right call when:

Roots Keep Coming Back

Rodding cuts a path through roots. Jetting clears the pipe wall, so regrowth is slower.

Old Cast Iron Is Scaled Up

Decades of rust scale narrow a cast iron drain. Jetting strips it back so the pipe carries its full volume.

Grease Has Lined the Kitchen Line

Grease hardens in layers. A cable punches a hole. Jetting removes the layers.

Before a Liner Goes In

A liner needs a clean pipe wall to bond to. We jet first, then check it on camera.

Local Knowledge

Why Jetting Works Well on Arlington Heights Lines

Most Arlington Heights homes are 37 to 86 years old. Their lines have years of buildup that a cable alone can't remove.

Postwar Clay With Mature Trees

Homes from the 1940s through the 1960s often sit under big trees. Jetting clears the fine roots that rodding leaves behind at each joint.

Cast Iron Inside the House

Cast iron drains from the same era are rough inside from rust. Jetting smooths them out so paper and grease don't catch.

Busy Kitchens, Older Drains

In a 1970s or 1980s home with an updated kitchen, the original kitchen drain often can't keep up with years of grease. Jetting resets it.

Camera Before and After

We look before we jet so we don't jet a broken pipe, and after so you can see the difference.

The J. Blanton Difference

What Happens When You Call J. Blanton

We don't jet a line we haven't looked at.

1. Camera First

We check the line for cracks or a collapse. Jetting a broken pipe can make it worse, so we look before we spray.

2. Jet the Full Line

We clean from the cleanout to the city main, adjusting pressure for clay, cast iron or PVC.

3. Show You the Result

A second camera pass shows the clean pipe, and you get a flat price before any of it starts.

Hydro Jetting Questions From Arlington Heights Homeowners

Yes, if the pipe is intact. That's why we camera it first.

Yes, if the pipe is sound. We adjust the pressure to the material and check the line on camera before jetting. If a section is cracked or broken, we'll tell you, and a sewer repair comes first.

Rodding opens a path. Jetting cleans the whole pipe wall.

Rodding cuts a path through a clog so water flows again. Jetting uses high-pressure water to clean the entire inside of the pipe, removing roots, grease and scale instead of just pushing through them.

Longer than rodding, especially for grease and scale. Roots will eventually return.

For grease and scale, a jetted line can stay clear for years with good habits. Roots grow back over time, so homes with clay lines and big trees often pair jetting with a yearly check.

No. It cleans pipes. Broken pipe needs a repair or a liner.

No. Jetting cleans the inside of a pipe. If the camera shows a crack, a separated joint or a collapse, that needs a repair or a trenchless liner.
