Drain Cleaning
Slow, gurgling or backed-up drains in kitchens, bathrooms and basements.
When a sewer line keeps clogging after it's been rodded, the pipe needs to be cleaned, not just opened. Hydro jetting scours the whole pipe wall. We camera the line first and quote one flat price. From our office on 185th Street in Tinley Park.

Hydro jetting clears a sewer line with a high-pressure water stream, fed through the same cleanout access point used for rodding. A specialized nozzle sprays water in every direction as it moves through the pipe, scouring grease, scale, and roots off the entire pipe wall instead of just cutting a path through the middle. It's the fix for buildup that keeps coming back after rodding, or for roots that have worked into the pipe joints. Rodding opens the line back up. Hydro jetting cleans it.
Jetting earns its keep when a line needs a deep clean:
A sagging section collects sludge that a rod pushes around but doesn't remove. Jetting flushes it out.
A rod leaves root stubs behind. Jetting cuts them flush with the pipe wall, so regrowth is slower.
Years of grease narrow the line one layer at a time until the sink backs up.
A pipe has to be clean for a liner to bond, and a line that just backed up is full of debris.
Most Tinley Park homes have sewer lines from the 1970s through the 2000s. Jetting is often the best way to clean them without digging anything up.
Newer lines have fewer rough spots than old clay, so once they're jetted clean, they tend to stay clean longer.
If your line has a sag, jetting flushes out what settles there. The camera then shows whether the sag needs a repair or just periodic cleaning.
We check every line on camera before jetting. If a section is cracked or separated, we'll tell you and suggest rodding or a repair instead.
You should know what you're paying for before anything starts.
We camera the line and show you what's built up inside.
A quick fix and a long-term fix, side by side.

"I’ve used J Blanton multiple times. They have helped identify a pipe with root growth through their No Drip Club. Mike Perez has done a great job walking me through all the steps to get the root out of my pipe and had to work through some very tough turns to identify the roots. [...]"
"Dominic was great. He was knowledgeable and took great pride in his work. The jetting job he did could not have been done more thoroughly. He truly went above and beyond to make sure the sewer line was 100% clear. Thank you."
"Zachary did a great job clearing out our sewer line after a clog. He was very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him and J. Blanton Plumbing."
Yes, when we check it on camera first.
Yes, when the line is checked first. We camera the whole line before jetting. If any section is cracked or broken, we won't jet it. We'll show you the footage and suggest another option.
It cleans out what collects in the sag. Fixing the sag itself takes a repair.
Jetting flushes out the sludge and debris that settle in a sag, so the line flows again. It can't lift the pipe back into place. If the sag keeps filling up, a sewer repair fixes the low spot for good.
It depends on the line, the buildup and what the camera shows. You get a flat price first.
It depends on the length of the line, how much buildup is in it and what the camera finds. We show you what's in the pipe and give you a flat price before any work begins.
Rodding opens a clog fast. Jetting cleans the whole pipe and lasts longer when buildup or roots keep returning.
If it's a first-time clog, rodding usually does the job. If the line has needed rodding more than once in a year, or the camera shows grease, sludge or roots coating the pipe, jetting is the better long-term choice.
