Drain Cleaning
Slow, gurgling or backed-up drains in kitchens, bathrooms and basements.
A gas fireplace that clicks but won't light, a pilot that keeps going out or a remote that stopped working. Our plumbers are licensed for gas work and handle fireplace repair, cleaning and yearly service across Tinley Park, from our office on 185th Street.

Here's what usually goes wrong:
The igniter is working, but the pilot isn't catching. Often a dirty pilot after the off-season.
A worn thermocouple or thermopile is shutting off the gas for safety.
Sometimes batteries, sometimes the receiver or valve.
Get out and call Nicor Gas or 911 from outside. We'll repair it once it's safe.
We work on the gas line, the burner and the vent:
Pilots, igniters, thermocouples, thermopiles, valves, remotes and switches.
Cleaning the burner, pilot and glass, resetting logs, a leak check and a vent look.
Running gas to a new fireplace or insert. See gas line installation.
Gas fireplaces were a common feature in homes built in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s, and many Tinley Park homes date from those years.
A builder-installed fireplace from that era is often on its original valve, pilot assembly and thermopile. Those parts wear out, and many can be replaced without replacing the fireplace.
With several nights a year at or below zero, a fall cleaning keeps the fireplace from failing on the first cold night.
Keep a working carbon monoxide detector near any gas appliance. If it goes off, get out and call for help.
A fireplace that lights can still have a problem.
Gas work calls for a licensed pro.

"Communication, information and installation went great. Price was very competitive. Shane explained everything extremely well and Alex installed hot water tank beautifully. Shortly after Alex left a gas leak from an old valve on the piping to the tank occurred and needed to be replaced, Alex came back same night and fixed it. This is a 5-Star company."
"We had a new gas pipe installed that ws located to sevice our dryer in the basement on July 14th. The Technician was friendly and did a great job with the installation. He cleaned up after himself, and the pricing was competative."
"Andrew and Ty did a great job fixing and replacing some old natural gas pipe that had a recurring leak. Punctual, efficient, kept me informed, cleaned up well after. I highly recommend."
Usually. Most pilots, valves and sensors can be replaced without replacing the unit.
Usually. Most of the parts that fail, like the pilot assembly, thermopile, igniter and valve, can be replaced without replacing the fireplace. If parts are no longer available, we'll tell you your options.
Once a year, ideally in early fall.
Once a year, ideally in September or October before you need it. A cleaning and safety check keeps it lighting reliably and burning clean.
Usually a worn thermocouple or thermopile, or a dirty pilot.
Most often it's a thermocouple or thermopile that's worn out, or a pilot clogged with dust. Relighting it over and over won't fix it. We'll find the cause and replace the part.
It depends on the part. We look first and give you a flat rate before any work.
It depends on what failed. We don't quote gas work over the phone. A licensed technician looks at the fireplace and gives you a flat rate before anything starts.
