Sewer Repair
Camera inspections, root removal and repairs for older clay and cast iron sewer lines.
A vanity that drains slowly, a kitchen sink that backs up into the other bowl or a basement floor drain that fills on laundry day. We clear it, explain why it happened and give you a flat price before any work. Our office is on Spinning Wheel Road. Open 24/7.

Call when a plunger doesn't solve it, when the same drain is slow again within a few weeks or when you notice a sewer smell. Then look at how many drains are affected. A single slow fixture usually has a clog nearby. When the floor drain rises on laundry day, or a toilet gurgles while the tub drains, the main line is blocked and needs sewer rodding.
Hair and soap in bathroom drains, grease in the kitchen and lint in the laundry cause most clogs. We clear them with equipment sized for the pipe and show you what was causing the slowdown.
Older Hinsdale homes often still have galvanized and cast iron drains inside the walls. Their rough interiors catch debris, so clogs come back faster. If one drain keeps clogging, we'll camera it and tell you whether it needs hydro jetting or a section replaced.
Grease is the root of most kitchen clogs. It hardens on the pipe walls and catches food and soap until the sink stops draining.
If both bowls fill or the dishwasher drains into the sink, the clog is past the trap. We clear it back to the stack. Disposal involved? See garbage disposal repair.
Hinsdale's homes range from the 1800s to new construction, and drain problems follow their age.
A beautifully remodeled bath can still drain through the original pipe.
Islands and prep sinks mean long horizontal runs where grease settles.
Several slow drains at once usually mean the main is blocked. See sewer drain clearing.
When the whole house drains slowly or water appears at the floor drain, the main sewer drain is blocked. Clearing it takes equipment that can reach from the cleanout all the way to the village main.
We clear the line and run a camera so you see the cause. Under older homes, it's usually roots in clay. Under newer ones, it's more often grease or wipes. Repeat clogs get a plan: sewer rodding, hydro jetting or a sewer repair.

"Unbelievable service and knowledge! Took the time to break down the issue and explain in a way where I felt comfortable moving forward. The work was done with no issues and they even filled me in on some work that would be needed in the future. All of this, and I only called to schedule two days before!"
"I had a blockage in my stationary sink. John arrived promptly, explained what needed to be done and resolved it quickly. Reasonable price and he was friendly and professional."

Old pipe is rough inside and catches debris.
Old galvanized and cast iron drains narrow and roughen over time, so they catch hair and grease faster. Jetting or replacing the worst section helps.
One fixture is local. Several, or the floor drain, is the main.
If only one fixture is slow, the clog is close to it. If several are slow or the floor drain backs up, it's the main line.
