Geneva gets its water from deep and shallow wells. Before 2008, that water went out very hard. Since the city's reverse osmosis plant on Keslinger Road opened, about 85% of the water is treated by reverse osmosis and the finished hardness is about 5 to 7 grains. The city itself says residents may be able to reduce or eliminate water softeners.
