What Is Hydro Jetting?
Hydro jetting clears a sewer line with a high-pressure water stream, fed through the same cleanout access point used for rodding. A specialized nozzle sprays water in every direction as it moves through the pipe, scouring grease, scale, and roots off the entire pipe wall instead of just cutting a path through the middle. It's the fix for buildup that keeps coming back after rodding, or for roots that have worked into the pipe joints. Rodding opens the line back up. Hydro jetting cleans it.

Why Kitchen Lines Need Jetting
Grease goes down the drain warm and liquid, then cools and sticks to the pipe walls. Over months it builds up in layers, narrowing the pipe until food scraps can't get through. A cable punches a hole in that layer, but the rest stays put and the clog returns. A jetter scours the grease off the walls with high-pressure water. In older Evanston homes with long kitchen drain runs, jetting usually lasts much longer than a cable.
