Adding a Disposal to an Older Kitchen
Many older Evanston kitchens were built without a disposal. Adding one usually takes three things: a switched outlet under the sink, a drain that can handle ground food and enough room in the cabinet. We'll check the drain first, since older pipe with grease buildup should be cleaned before a disposal starts sending more food down it. If the dishwasher drains through the sink, we connect it to the disposal.
What Affects the Price of a Disposal Job
A straight swap is the simplest job. A first-time install may need an outlet, a new trap and drain changes, especially in older kitchens. If the drain beyond the sink is partly clogged, it should be cleared first. We check everything and quote a flat price.
