Drain Cleaning
Slow, gurgling or backed-up drains in kitchens, bathrooms and basements.
Replacing a sewer line used to mean a trench from the house to the street. Today most Elgin lines can be lined or replaced through small openings. We camera the line first, then give you a flat price for the method that fits. From our office on North McLean Boulevard.

Trenchless sewer repair, also called no-dig sewer repair, fixes a damaged pipe without digging a trench along its full length. Instead of opening up your yard from the house to the street, we work through one or two access points and repair the pipe from the inside or replace it in place. There are two main methods: cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining and pipe bursting. Both fix the line underground, so what's above it stays untouched.
Elgin's older neighborhoods are where trenchless repair saves the most.
Narrow lots near downtown have big trees, old walks and garages over the sewer path. Lining keeps them in place.
When roots have opened most of the joints in a clay line, a liner seals all of them in one job.
Lines patched with different materials over the years can often be lined end to end, which gives you one continuous pipe.
Fewer and smaller openings mean less impact on the parkway, the sidewalk and your neighbors.
The camera decides:
| Line Condition | Best Approach | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Clay with roots and cracks, still round | Pipe lining | Seals every joint without a trench |
| Too damaged to line, path open | Pipe bursting | Pulls new pipe through the old path |
| One low or broken section | Spot repair, then lining if needed | Fixes the sag so the rest can be lined |
| Fully collapsed | Excavation | Nothing left to line or burst through |
We show you the footage behind every recommendation.
Trenchless starts with knowing exactly where the damage is.
We clear the line and record it, with distances to every problem.
We pick access points that avoid trees, walks and the driveway where we can.
A flat price before work, and a last camera pass to show the new pipe.

"The technicians and plumbers involved were prompt, friendly, courteous and explained everything with the sewer lining project. The sewer lines were cleaned, repaired, and inspected before the new lining was installed. I recommend them with no reservations!"
"We had a sewer liner installed yesterday by Mason Lanier & his crew from J. Blanton Plumbing. They were on time, worked efficiently & diligently to complete all the work in difficult weather conditions. We are very pleased to have this work completed & impressed with Mason & Co."
"The ENG team did an amazing job installing a liner on our sewer line. It was a very technical job that required a full days work, but they managed wonderfully despite the unexpected snow and inclement weather conditions. Just as important, they were very kind through the process. Thank you!!!"
Often, yes, if it's still holding its shape.
Often, yes. If the camera shows the pipe is still round and open, a liner can go in and seal every joint. Badly broken or collapsed sections may need a spot repair first.
Decades. It's a seamless pipe inside the old one.
Liners are designed to last for decades. Once cured, it's a seamless pipe with no joints for roots to enter.
Many are done in a day or two.
Many residential jobs are done in a day or two, depending on length and how much prep the line needs.
Slightly, but it usually flows as well or better.
Slightly. The liner adds a thin wall, but its smooth surface with no joints or scale usually carries water as well as the old pipe or better.
It depends on the line and method. You get a flat price first.
It depends on how much of the line needs work, the depth, the method and access. We give you a flat-rate price before any work begins.
