Drain Cleaning
Slow, gurgling or backed-up drains in kitchens, bathrooms and basements.
A toilet that runs on its own at night, leaks at the base or clogs every week. We fix toilets and install new ones across Elgin, with a flat price before we start. From our office on North McLean Boulevard.

Most are fixed in one visit:
A worn flapper or fill valve lets water trickle into the bowl.
The wax ring or flange has failed. Fix it before the subfloor is damaged.
An old low-flow design, something stuck in the trap or a line problem.
Even a hairline crack can leak. That's a replacement.
The age of the bathroom says a lot about what goes wrong.
In homes built before 1940, the flange under the toilet may be cast iron or lead and decades old. When it fails, the toilet rocks and leaks.
Some older bathrooms have a toilet set farther from or closer to the wall than today's standard. We measure before you buy.
If the toilet bubbles when the tub drains, the main line may be partly blocked. In older neighborhoods, roots are a common cause. See drain cleaning.
Simple, priced first.
A fill valve costs far less than a toilet.
Before we lift the lid.
Floors protected and the old toilet removed if we replace it.

"Anthony was our technician to take out our old water heater and install a new one as well as install new inside parts to two of our toilets. He was very professional, courteous, respectful of our home, and very pleasant with whom to deal. We were very happy to have had Anthony as our plumber."
"Stephen and Brendon were great. Explained the options, transparent pricing on parts, had quick support from management on bid questions and great communication from scheduling to job completion. Efficient, cleaned up the area and worked well together even though they came at different times for different portions of the job. Definitely recommend them."
"Edgar Herrera , was amazing, outstanding customer service! Definitely recommend J.Blanton Plumbing!!."
Water is leaking past the flapper or the fill valve isn't shutting off.
Usually the flapper isn't sealing or the fill valve isn't shutting off at the right level. Both are quick, inexpensive repairs.
Yes. A failed seal soaks the subfloor over time.
Yes. Water from a failed wax ring soaks into the subfloor and can rot it or damage the ceiling below. Fix it early.
Measure the rough-in. We can do it for you.
Measure from the wall to the center of the floor bolts. Most are 12 inches, but older bathrooms sometimes differ. We can measure before you buy.
If it's cracked, clogs often or uses a lot of water, yes.
If it's cracked, clogs often or is an older high-water model, a new toilet is worth it. Running and minor leaks are usually repairs.
It depends on the toilet and flange. You get a flat price first.
It depends on the toilet, whether the flange or shutoff needs replacing and removal of the old one. We give you a flat-rate price before any work begins.
