Replacing two old tanks in a shared basement with two wall-mounted tankless heaters frees up floor space for storage or laundry. Each unit keeps its own hot water. The catch is gas and venting. Two tankless units can draw a lot of gas at once, so we check the meter and piping. Each one also needs its own vent, usually through an outside wall, which takes planning on a tight city lot.
