Trenchless Sewer Repair

A damaged sewer line doesn’t mean digging up your yard. We repair the line through one or two small access points, so your lawn, landscaping, and driveway stay right where they are.

Know the Basics

What Is Trenchless Sewer Repair?

Trenchless sewer repair, also called no-dig sewer repair, fixes a damaged pipe without digging a trench along its full length. Instead of opening up your yard from the house to the street, we work through one or two access points and repair the pipe from the inside.

We use cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining, which forms a new pipe inside the old one. It fixes the line underground, so what’s above it stays untouched.

Common Scenarios

When Does Trenchless Apply?

Backups, slow drains, sewer odor, soft or unusually lush patches of grass, and gurgling drains are the most common signs of a damaged sewer line. What they don’t tell you is which repair method fits. That comes down to the type and extent of the damage.

SituationTrenchless Usually WorksNeeds Traditional Excavation
Root intrusion cracking the pipeYesNot typically
Corroded or aging clay, cast iron, or Orangeburg pipeYesNot typically
Minor cracks or offset jointsYesNot typically
Slow drains or backups traced to pipe damageUsually, after a camera inspection confirms itNot typically
Fully collapsed section of pipeNot typicallyYes
Severe belly (a low spot where the pipe has sunk)Not typicallyYes
Major structural misalignmentNot typicallyYes

Not sure which category applies to your line? A camera inspection shows exactly what’s happening underground before any repair method gets recommended.

Why Trenchless

Why Homeowners Choose Trenchless Over Traditional Excavation

Traditional sewer repair means digging a trench the length of the damaged pipe. Trenchless repair works through one or two small access points instead.

  • Minimal disruption. You’re left with a couple of small patches of disturbed ground, not a trench across your whole yard.
  • Faster turnaround. We keep a full lining fleet on our own trailers, so we’re never waiting on a rental company or another crew. Every truck uses light-cured lining technology, which cures faster than older UV, water, or steam-based methods.
  • Lower overall cost. No trench means no landscaping, driveway, or sidewalk restoration afterward. We also check our pricing against national industry data, so you know the number we give you is fair.

Customer Stories

Trenchless Sewer Repair Reviews

"Rick was on time, polite, willing to explain the whole process. Tree roots had broken the remaining clay pipes under my front lawn and ramp. Inserting a liner with a 25 year warranty was the most logical choice I could make. The job went well and quickly."

Kathleen Smead

"Emanuel and his partner G just did our sewer pipe lining and were absolutely fabulous! They kept me in the loop during service and let me know where things were at every step of the way without being too obtrusive, I work from home and was not disturbed in the slightest while they were working."

Is Trenchless Right for Your Home?

Most residential lines qualify for trenchless repair. But older lines, especially clay, cast iron, or Orangeburg pipe, often have more than one weak point, so fixing the obvious problem doesn’t always mean the whole line is covered.

Sometimes it’s part trenchless, part traditional dig. Only a camera inspection tells you which one applies to your home, before any repair method gets recommended.
